PINK FLAMINGOS.

So maybe that's not a photo of one of Gremany's oldest & greatest rippin' hardcore/powerviolence bands ever, but John Waters is indeed punk as fuck as well….
Blasting drums, crunching guitars, out-front caterwaul? These guys had it in spades. They had power to spare - they did a split w/ Man Is The Bastard - and had they been from the U.S. then possibly more people over here might recognize that.

Either way, I'm preaching to the choir here, or your about to embark a 34-song discography of yet another unsung HC band.

Enjoy - (all four of you that come by to download and actually comment)...

PRONG.

Now, while I can't say as though I have listened to any Prong record made after 1991's "Prove You Wrong", I gotta say Force Fed absolutely kicked my ass back in the day.
That was another one of those "fuel-for-the-skate-session" records, and this here live board recording from 1990 is pretty good. They play all the good early shit, the sound is exceptionally good, and the between-song banter is amusing at times - especially due to Tommy's heavy "(nasal) Noo Yawwk-ness".

*Enjoy this - the 400th. post - here at Lo-Res Viscera*

INFERNO.

Rockin' 80's thrashcore from Germany.

Inferno had some reknown in the States back in the day as they were a favorite of Pushead, and were part of the whole Pusmort thing he had going on back then.

(I forgot about how fucking good these guys were; it's easy to forget about music you own due to having 200GB+ loaded in your iTunes)...

Excellent stuff you should certainly check out if you haven't already.
It's MUCH better than say, Mastodon, (or anything with that shitty JD Baizley / Pushead ripoff cover art on it) - or whatever flavor-of-the-week "thrash revival" band you'll read about in next month's Decibel Magazine...

MÖRSER.

Two vocalists (at one point they had three), two guitarists, & two bassists round out this tight and brutal-as-fuck German metal machine.
This goes out by request for faithful reader Sueleiman.
Enjoy!

STACK.

It's probably been posted elsewhere on other blogs better than this one, nor do I have much information about them to share with you, but if you never heard Germany's powerviolence/thrashcore heavyweights before, now is the time to grab this discography and prepare to get your earballs kicked off (or something like that)...

Stack - Konkret Lichtgeschwindigkeit

Now playing: Agata - Air Nozzles and Echoes Reset Live

MÖRSER.

Some tasty grindcore you today, here's the first album from Germany's Mörser who just so happen to have not one but FOUR different vocalists at any given time! Some hot metallic / deathy leads thrown in and as an American the lyrics sound even more brutal in German.

Mörser - Two Hours To Doom

PERTH EXPRESS.

Somewhere between Converge, Tragedy, and Mastodon (before they got shitty) lies Perth Express.
If you like any of the aforementioned bands, you might like these guys even more.
I'd say this is the record Baroness should have made instead of that lacking-a-pair "The Red Album" piece of mediocre crap.

Rumor has it these guys just broke up - which sucks - but that's the stuff legend is made of, isn't it?

Good noisy/heavy hardcore without any of the macho-pose / art-fag trappings.

Real good.

D/L Perth Express - Harrow and Wealdstone right here.

Now playing: Riot .303 - Murder The Prime Minister
