"GOD'S FAVORITE DOG".

Way-the-fuck-out-of-print comp. from Touch & Go Records featuring cuts from Butthole Surfers, Killdozer, Scratch Acid, Big Black, Happy Flowers and Rick Rubin's band, Hose.
The Happy Flowers jams on here are perfect for clearing the fools out of your house when you want to end the party!

Remember when Touch & Go wasn't "just another indie label" filled with pussy bands?
Reminisce, fuckers.

  1. The new Iron Lung, 3 live sets of Rudimentary Peni and now this beautiful piece of ancient Touch and Go history. Your still on fuckin fire bro, like a Coup Da Ville burning hot. Man I would commetnt on everyone of these masterpieces but you would get sick of my crazy ass. I will say for those that dig the Butthole Surfers on this they have a website, buttholesurfers.com I think that has tons of free stuff of theirs. Never even knew Rick Rubin had a band. Thanx for your time and energy J.

  2. Thanks, J.
Yeah, I am pretty inspired right now, it's kinda weird for me, but I'm diggin' it!
In fact, I leave two days from now and will be away from my computer for 6 days, but I've already pre-scheduled my blog to post once a day for me in my abscence.
Not sure that WordPress has that option, Blogger just instituted it, and it's pretty cool.

  4. Yes there were some great bands of this ilk. They still sound good today. Thanks for keeping the music varied. It's nice to hear old favourites and different bands that you haven't heard.

  6. thanks for the God's favorite Dog post, got the LP in 1988, been looking for the CD ever since. the best thing about the LP (besides the bands) is the last song by Butthole Surfers plays into the run-out and loops around skipping eerily, Perfect! Mine copy however is written in Pink, not blue.
