MANGE.

A side project of various members of such heavyweight acts as Phobia & Dystopia, Mange somehow create dark& sludgy grindcore - is it possible to be heavy whilst also blasting-the-fuck-out?

Indeed it is, and these guys are proof!

While I'm at it, I have to mention the harmonic-ness that is this post alongside my good friend Batguano over at Fugitive Equilibrium.
The man always has stellar taste, and if you dig this Mange stuff make sure you visit FE to grab the also-bad-assness that is the Mange - "Junkie" Demo.

DYSTOPIA.

A request for PJ over at Excess Zine, here's yet another great record by one of my favorites - Dystopia.
I think I've posted more by these East Bay scuzz-lords than any other band featured here on L-R V...

D/L Dystopia - Human = Garbage right here.

I got a rip of the new record they just released, but one of the tracks is fucked up - I've seen like 4 or 5 blogs who have posted this flawed version as well - so I figured NOT to post the new one until I get a clean copy.

DYSTOPIA.

A good live set from Seattle recorded in 2002.

(Updates are still happening - I'm not gonna let the blog die - it just wont be as frequent as it once was.
Bear with me as I rebuild my music collection.

HARD DRIVE FAILURE SUCKS.

DYSTOPIA.

Here's one of my favorite recordings - I ripped it from the cassette I made when this aired originally - of the mighty Dystopia playing live on the air in the studios of KFJC in Los Altos Hills, CA eleven years ago.
Completely raw and caustic - this sounds great, actually - and the samples and vocals are fucking ace on this one!

I saw these guys quite a few times back then, and they always ripped (and they would smoke ALL of YOUR pot)...
